Level 1 – Clear
Based on our asumptions of their needs, we figure that the content we would create to move them forward would be based on Clarity, Competence and Visibility. 80% of the content would be focused on Clarity for this level, about 15% focused on Competence and the last 5% focused on Visibility. This is rationalized by the idea that at this stage, where their business (or idea) is still embryotic, much of what they encounter and need to establish is a matter of clarity; getting clear on who they are as a business owner (role), what that actually requires, who is their target audience, where that audience is, who is their ideal customer, what that ideal customer truly needs and is willing to pay for, etc. Competence is their next greatest need, and that ideally comes in play as they become clear on their goals and direction. From there, visibility is a natural offshoot, but not so much a priority that it should dominate the other categories.The idea is that once they get clear, they are challenged to complete tasks that both benefit their business and build their competence, which then naturally leads them to building their business’ visibility in the marketplace, naturally allowing them to transition into level 2.
